BLOOMINGTON - Michael Dennis McGaughan, 84, of Bloomington, formerly of Champaign, passed away peacefully at 12:39 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Martin Health Center (Westminster Village), Bloomington, with family by his side.His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at Second Presbyterian Church, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, at the church.In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation or Second Presbyterian Church, 313 N. East St., Bloomington, IL 61701.Michael was born on April 13, 1940, in Aberdeen, S.D., a son of Paul Michael and Margaret Gilbertsen McGaughan. He married his beloved Barbara A. McGaughan on Aug. 23, 1975, in Champaign.
