URBANA - Linda Ann Richards Cohen, 73, beloved wife, sister and aunt, passed away on Saturday (June 29, 2024) after a prolonged illness.Linda was born on Feb. 7, 1951, in DeLand, to the late Lester and Rozella Richards. She met her loving husband, Charles, while he was a researcher at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. They were married for 45 years.Linda worked as a registered nurse and went on to earn a computer programming degree, which she employed to perform post-marketing drug surveillance for the FDA. Linda had many hobbies, including cooking, sewing, decorating, gardening and ballroom dancing. She loved people, animals and music and was a member of the Methodist Church.Linda is survived by her husband, Charles E. Cohen; her sister, Kathy (Brendan) McKiernan and her two daughters, Brandy and Amber; and her brother Dale's son, Nathan Richards.Her brother Dale preceded her in death.Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 8, at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Funeral Home, 1
