ATWOOD - Roger Lee Harshbarger, 71, of Atwood passed away peacefully on Monday (July 1, 2024) surrounded by his loving family.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 6, at Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 E. U.S. 36, Atwood. Burial will follow in Lake Fork Cemetery, rural Atwood. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 5, at the funeral home.Roger was born July 5, 1952, in Decatur, the son of Fred and Marilyn (Lowe) Harshbarger. Roger graduated from Atwood-Hammond High School in 1970 and went on to attend Parkland College and Eastern Illinois University. On June 22, 1973, he married the love of his life, June Sigrist.Roger is survived by his beloved wife, June, and their three daughters, Stacie Gass, Stephanie Jones and Elyse Harshbarger. He was a proud grandfather to Lauren Jones and Allie and Julie Bonilla. He is also survived by his siblings, Sandy Simpson, Linda Nation and Randy Harshbarger.Roger was preceded in death by his parents.Throughout his career,
