FISHER - George Rogers, 70, of Fisher passed away at 4:45 p.m. Friday (June 28, 2024) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.He was born May 12, 1954, in Danville, a son of Charles and Eleanor (Thompson) Rogers. He married Ramona L. Scott on April 17, 1976, in Cayuga, Ind. She survives.Also surviving are two sons, Charles Rogers of Urbana and Bradley Rogers of Fisher; two grandchildren, Kaylee Rogers and Colin Rogers; and a great-grandchild, Haven Mae Sommer.He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Gloria and Anna; and a brother, Charles.He worked for Pullman Rail Car in Danville. He later moved to Virginia and worked for ITT Automotive until he moved home to Illinois. He worked for ACH Foods in Champaign for 10 years, then for Clifford-Jacobs Forging until he retired in May 2019.He would like to give special thanks to Aunt Ruth (mom) Snook, who has passed on. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, the Cubs, Bears and Illinois sports, as well as slot machines.A funeral service will
