RANTOUL - With sorrow, we share the unexpected passing of Mark L. Leger, 61, of Rantoul, on June 20, 2024. Left to mourn are mother, Mary Ann Leger; father, Jim Leger (Marilyn Leger); sister, Angela Hughes; nephew, Kevin Hughes (Natalie Goldman); niece, Meredith Hughes; former wife, Lori Leger; cousins, friends and coworkers far and wide.  A graduate of Centennial High School, Mark went on to serve in the Navy for four years in the early 1980s. Mark was a hard worker throughout his life and was currently employed at Illiana Health Care System in Danville. He was a life member of Amvets Post #3, Champaign, and of American Legion Post #287, Rantoul.Mark had a big heart for people and a dry sense of humor. He had so many skills to build and repair everything and enjoyed taking care of plants, especially trees. Mark enjoyed hosting friends, and a special brother-in-law, at his cabin.
